Are you fresh out of high school and ready to start a career that’s anything but a boring 9-to-5? At Underwater Explorer, our PADI Dive Master Internship is your chance to swap classrooms for coral reefs, make lifelong friends, and travel the world as a sought-after dive professional.
This is not just a course — it’s a lifestyle. You’ll spend your days diving in Mozambique’s pristine Marine Protected Area, home to world-class reefs, manta rays, dolphins, and migrating humpback whales. Imagine mornings filled with reef mapping, equipment prep, and assisting instructors, followed by afternoons guiding dives, giving safety briefings, and learning the ins and outs of running a busy dive centre. From filling cylinders and fixing gear, to helping guests check in and managing logistics, you’ll gain hands-on experience that will set you apart in the global dive industry.
But it’s not all work! Our program has serious Spring Break vibes — meeting new people from around the world, sharing unforgettable adventures, and gaining your independence while living in a supportive, safe environment. Parents can feel confident too: our training is rooted in PADI’s internationally recognized standards, with a strong focus on safety, environmental responsibility,xx and personal growth.
Over the course of your internship, you’ll progress step by step from novice diver to PADI Dive Master or Instructor, earning professional licenses that open doors in 182 countries. You’ll also learn essential hospitality and tourism skills — from customer care and retail, to dive centre operations — ensuring you graduate as a well-rounded professional. Accommodation is included, with meals available as an add-on, and you’ll also get guidance on visas and border requirements.
